About Our Hosting Partner
Perhaps you've never thought you would ever visit India. Well this could be the perfect opportunity. We will visit our partner SEED India in Kolkata to see and be part of all that God is doing there. SEED Society in India formed in 2009 to address the urgent physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of residents living in the extreme poverty of the Indian slum of Khalpar. With their most basic needs addressed, we began to see the cycles of abuse, neglect and learned-helplessness fall away—people began to act from a place of hope.
Along with their work directly within communities, they run two residential homes—The Dream Home for Girls (2016) and The Dream Home for Boys (2018)—that provide holistic care for children who had to be removed from abusive or dangerous situations in their slum or village. Because they know it’s easier to raise strong children than fix broken adults, they provide trauma counseling, healthy food, medical care, life skills and education to support the next generation of powerful community leaders.
What Will We Do?
Below are some activities you can expect:
- visit slum projects and hear stories from the folks that live there
- take the kids that live in the slums on a field trip
- visit a Hindu Temple and see where Mother Theresa lived
- visit the Girls Dream Home and Boys Dream Home
- worship with local believers at one of the Churches
What is included in the cost of the trip?
Airfare, transportation, food, accommodations, visa (when required), and international emergency/medical insurance.
What is the preferred method for payment/contribution?
It is best if you and your donors contribute through your mission page. If you must write a check, please make it out to Grace Family Church with the trip code of India Fall 2025 written in the memo line.
ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE - All payments and donations are payable to Grace Family Church and are to be used for missions and are non-refundable.
